Chandler, Arizona "Retail follows Rooftops." That phrase was coined to describe Phoenix, Arizona, a city with a phenomenal 45% population increase between 1990 and 2000. Now an area of over 3 million people, Phoenix is expected to grow to over 8 million in the next twenty years. A housing boom was the result, with an average of 65,000 new homes constructed in each of the past three years. And where there are new households, there is a need for new retail. That's why Phoenix was chosen as our first regional office. Established in 2002 to control the CVS Pharmacy market expansion in Arizona, our office is now developing dozens of retail sites across the Phoenix market. Our CVS and retail developments in Las Vegas and Reno, NV and in New Mexico are also controlled through this regional office. In 2006, we doubled the size of the Phoenix office, testament to our growing development effort in a rapidly growing market. Portico Place, our mixed-use development in Chandler, Arizona, has been nominated for the 2009 "Best of NAIOP" award by the Arizona chapter of NAIOP . The project offers striking architecture for it's retail and office buildings. Portico Place is proof that design and fuctionality can coexist in commercial real estate. Construction activity continues at Unser Crossing, located in Albuquerque, New Mexico. This 460,000 SF center is anchored by a Lowe's Home Improvement Center, Defined Fitness and CVS/Pharmacy. Controlled through the Arizona Regional office, Phase I construction is nearing completion that includes site work and a CVS Pharmacy. For more information on the project, click here. Denver, Colorado Denver is a city founded in the Gold Rush of the 1850s. It soon became the hub of prospecting, railroads and agriculture in the Old West. It's now a center of aviation, electronics and the nation's largest telecommunication center. There are more federal employees in Denver than in any other city besides Washington, DC. Denver is the foundation of our development efforts in Colorado. Great potential exists in nearby markets. HighPointe Park is an ambitious 33 acre combination of retail, office and residential development now under construction in the suburb of Thornton, Colorado. Other retail efforts are underway in Fort Collins and Windsor, Colorado. We're not satisifed waiting for opportunities to find us. We prefer to seek them out.
